About Me

Hello, and welcome to my freelance writing website. I am a former therapist, a writer, and a mother of four beautiful, spirited children. I specialize in writing about health, mental health, and parenting because I’ve been blessed with special needs kids. My goal for this website is to both showcase my work and normalize mental healthcare, especially for families with children.

If you’d like to see examples of my published writing, check out my portfolio. I have written for many local, national, and international outlets. You can find my writing in Business Insider, Today’s Parent, Parents, the Baltimore Sun, Crixeo Magazine, Grok Nation, Chesapeake Family Life Magazine, and many blogs and websites.

For a peek into my personal adventures raising children with mental health diagnoses, check out my blog! If you are a parent of special needs kids, I hope that you find something here that speaks to you. In these pages you’ll find stories of my successes and difficulties. Yes, I am a trained therapist. I have a Master’s Degree. I’ve worked with dozens of children and adolescents with as many mental health diagnoses. But I still make many, many mistakes. Don’t we all? (Note: If you are a perfect supermom, please share some of that magic juice with me!)
